Philadelphia Eagles Kick Off The 2019/20 NFL Season With New ‘Let’s Fly’ Hype Film

Debuting in time for the new NFL season kickoff, the Philadelphia Eagles content division, Eagles Entertainment, launched a fresh brand spot called ‘Let’s Fly’.

 

The team film, which rolled out across online and social channels and ran on regional Philadelphia television broadcast, aimed to showcase and celebrate Eagles fans everywhere – both in Philadelphia and across the globe.

 

The kick-off video, which encourages fans to get ready for the new season, features Carson Wentz, DeSean Jackson, Fletcher Cox, Malcolm Jenkins, Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz, Nelson Agholor, Brandon Graham, and Jason Peters and is linked by the hashtags #FlyEaglesFly#Eagles#NFL.

 

The creative team used Nina Simone’s iconic ‘Feelin’ Good’ and aimed to reinvent it as the narrative backbone for the story with fans and players uniting as one to ‘Let it Fly’ in their own individual ways.

 

 

The campaign was created in harness with agency 160over90 (an Endeavor company) and Eagles Entertainment (Philadelphia Eagles content division).

 

Comment:

 

This video and new season campaign sets out with a strategic goal to move beyond the usual, traditional hype video and instead use the spot as an opportunity to focus on the confidence of the organisation at the start of the 2019 season.

 

Of course, quite how long that confidence will last will depend on results on the grid iron.
