Nike (& NFL) ‘Stronger Than One: Lose Count’ Super Bowl Initiative Supports Female Flag Football

Lose Count, the latest film in Nike’s ongoing ‘Stronger Than One’ social video series dedicated to empower NFL athletes and football players to create positive change in their communities, focuses on women’s flag football.

Launched a few days ahead of Super Bowl LV, the sportswear behemoth’s spot (which didn’t actually run during the Big Game itself – despite Nike’s official NFL partner status) states that young girls should grow up in a world where playing football is as normal for them as it is for their brothers.

As well as the film, Nike has teamed up with the NFL to create an 11-online experience ‘made specifically for her’ fronted by the top women’s coaches in the game.

Plus, to support the women of today who, according to Nike, are bearing the weight of being the first women in the room so that the women of tomorrow don’t have to be, Nike is committing $5m (100k product grant per state) to make flag football a varsity sport in all 50 states.

And, in parallel with the campaign, experiences and the financial commitment, Nike has also launched a new women’s flag uniform which it says has taken two years to develop.
