LTA & National Lottery Pair Up For Paralympic ‘Ready To Win’ GB Wheelchair Tennis Film

On 18 August the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) paired up with The National Lottery to roll out a short film celebrating Great Britain’s wheelchair tennis athletes ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics

 

The video champions the country players and brings to life their training in the build-up to this year’s Paralympics and features two-time silver medallist and 17-time Grand Slam champion Alfie Hewett, double bronze medallist Lucy Shuker and three-time Paralympic medallist Andy Lapthorne. The spot shows all three players go through their final preparations before the 2020 Tokyo Games start on 24 August as their demonstrate the athleticism, speed and power which make these Paralympians champions.

 

Called ‘ParalympicsGB Tennis Stars – Ready To Win’, the spot states that now the preparations are over and the training is complete, it’s time for the ParalympicsGB wheelchair tennis stars to take centre stage at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

 

 

As the official partner of the LTA’s ‘Wheelchair Performance Pathway’ and an official partner of ParalympicsGB, The National Lottery supports to the sport’s elite level and also seeks to inspire and support more juniors, men, women and quads to pick up a racket for the first time as it aims to feed new players into one of the most successful disability sport programmes in the UK.
