Lululemon’s Zen Christmas ‘Breathe It All In’ Campaign Across Digital, Social, iTunes & Spotify

The festive season can be either be full of Christmas cheer and full-throttle fun, or argumentative and anxiety inducing stress.

 

At the start off the season, the media usually even rolls out a parade of physiologists and scientists to pontificate about all the associated Christmas challenges.

 

But this year Canadian athletic brand Lululemon launched a Christmas campaign that actually offered some useful solutions to these festive challenges with creative that offered a few minutes of thoughtful peace: time to step back and just breathe.

 

The yoga sportswear brand’s multi-platform ‘Breathe It All In’ initiative is essentially a series of guided mindful practices created by Lululemon and rooted in its philosophy of ‘living a purposeful and inspired life’.

 

It aims to help harness the power of breath to transform the moment, to boost energy, to create calm and to offer thoughtful reprieve in mind, body and spirit during the festive season.

 

The content has been created by a series of Lululemon experts, endorsers and ambassadors: including the brand’s global yoga ambassador (and best-selling author and meditation teacher) Gabby Bernstein.

 

Each guided practice offers a different breath experience and outcome: from finding a quiet moment to create peace and calm, to connecting with the world or others around you.

 

Plus these Lululemon mindful practices include a digital visualisation to add a moment of visual reprieve: a moment to stop and take it all in with soothing colourscapes and flowing animations.

 

The guides come in the form of digital video and social soundtracks and are available on lululemon.com, iTunes, Spotify and YouTube.

 

 

 

 

 

Comment:

 

While most Christmas commercials are all about fun, joy, good cheer and clichés, it can also bring its own stresses and challenges.

 

Lululemon’s campaign offers some useful (spiritual) solutions and an alternative ad approach.
