Apple India’s ‘Our Game’ Leverages Cricket World Cup With Bob Marley’s ‘I Don’t Like Cricket’

Apple extended its long-running, global ‘Shot on iPhone’ campaign in India with a campaign led by a spot set to the famous Bob Marley track with creative capturing the whole country loving cricket.

 

The initiative was conceptualised by TBWA|Media Art Labs and the film sets out to showcase the country’s collective passion for cricket.

 

It features people playing in roads, on beaches and across hillsides

 

All, of course, captured on an iPhone XS.

 

 

The campaign was created for Apple by agency TBWA|Media Arts Lab where the team included executive creative director Scott McClelland, creative directors Mike De Trullio and Dave Estrada, senior vice president Vishwajeet Rana, account director Abhinav Deodhar, managing director Nirmalo Wilkes, international business director Kavita Kapadia, account supervisor Emily Gale, executive producer Cristiana Ladki and producer Joe Maggiore.

 

Production was handled by GLP, the director was Gary Land, the directors of photography were Rohit Vohra, Ryan Young and Luke McCoubrey, with producers Greg Smith, Julia Reagan and Nathan Avila.

This cricket campaign continues the sports strand of the brand’s ongoing ‘Shot On iPhone’ and following in the footsteps of campaign phases focusing on other sports such as March 2019’s NHL player shot work (see case study).
