Robert Walters Recruits All Blacks/Black Fearns To Leverage NZRU Partnership Via ‘Find Your Incredible’ Campaign

Robert Walters New Zealand, the new official recruitment partner of the New Zealand Rugby Union, showed its support for the All Blacks and Black Ferns national teams by inviting players, clients and candidates to ‘Find Your Incredible’.

The integrated campaign, which rolled out across New Zealand and beyond from March 2023, is built around the idea that when people find their incredible the world’s best teams are formed.

The digital-first campaign was created in harness with Wellington-based agency EightyOneX.

The activation was spearheaded by a hero film which dropped across the brand and property’s online platforms from 14 March. The creative asks the question: “What is it that makes you incredible?” and then urges viewers to “Find your incredible and next career move with Robert Walters” and seeks to drive them online to the recruitment company’s website.

“For more than 20 years, Robert Walters has been bringing Kiwi talent together to achieve winning results for NZ employers. Like the All Blacks and Black Ferns, we value teamwork above individual glory,” commented Robert Walters New Zealand CEO Shay Peters. “We are proud to announce that Robert Walters New Zealand is the official recruitment supporter of New Zealand Rugby.”

EightyOneX Director Megan Compain added: “Our national rugby teams are constantly reinventing themselves to stay one step ahead, so it wasn’t hard to see what an awesome proposition a partnership with Robert Walters could mean for everyday kiwis looking to find their next incredible opportunity in the workforce.”

The campaign was created for a client team at Robert Walters NZ Ltd which included Shay Peters, Erin Simmons, Kirsty Barnett, Mat Bartlet and Ester Cohen by EightyOneX.

The ad agency group which worked on the project included Executive Creative Director Chris Bleackley, Creative Tony Haigh, Designers Micheal Hanly and Greg Dyne, Account Directors Megan Compain, Caroline Wethey and Te Whetu.

The spot was helmed by Director Andy Deer and it was produced by Bridget Bolton-Riley with photographs by Stephen Bonniface.

Recruitment and sport isn’t as an unlikely sponsorship category as it might first seem – not least because selection, recruitment and team building lie at the heart of pretty much every successful sports organisation.

Other notable recruitment and job search sports activations in recent years have included Hayes and Manchester City FC’s ‘Behind Every Goal’ and Indeed and Eintracht Frankfurt’s ‘Job/Fan Of The Match’ initiative.
