McDonald’s Teams Up With Famous Football Faces For ‘Fun Never Stops’ Fun Football Film

In the first week of September McDonald’sFun Football’ programme teamed up with several stars from the Premier League and Barclays FA Women’s Super League to front a spot that seeks to get children playing football.

Leeds United FC pair Kalvin Phillips and Daniel James and Newcastle’s Jamal Lewis teamed up with Manchester City’s Caroline Weir and Manchester United’s Katie Zelem to feature in the film called ‘Fun Never Stops’ which promotes the 100s of free ‘McDonald’s Fun Football’ coaching sessions which are taking place across the UK for those aged 5-11.

The video runs across digital and social platforms and sees the players themselves join ‘Fun Football’ sessions and play alongside the potential stars of the future. It also highlights the idea that it is ‘a love of the game’ which unites players at all levels – irrespective of their age, gender or ability.

The promo encourages viewers to go online to the programme website at mcdonalds.co.uk/football to find the nearest centre and sign up at.

The campaign was created and developed by Ten Toes Media, it was directed by Otis Dominique and produced by Family Creative.

Comment:

Thus far McDonald’s has provided five million hours of free Fun Football to children in the UK – reaching its target a year ahead of the initial plan – and the fast food giant has pledged one-and-a-half million more hours over the next year.

The new season September spot follows on from June ‘Fun Football: Seriously Good Fun’ campaign.
