Remington leveraged its new global sponsorship of Manchester United with activation based on its ‘The Story Of You’ brand mission built out into through a campaign called ‘Get Your You On’ that celebrates individuality and inner confidence.
The objective is to work with Manchester United in a way inspires and enables more people to ‘Get Your You On’: motivating them through the power of inner confidence to make their mark in everything they do.
The initiative, which aims to encourage fans to share their own story and to express confidence in their style choices, was launched with a video called ‘Story Of You – Remington & Man Utd’ which marked the first time that the club’s male and female stars linked up to discuss football, personal style, and match-day confidence.

The personal care giant rolled out the global marketing initiative to leverage its new multi-year partnership which saw it become the club’s first ‘Official Electrical Styling Partner’ of both Manchester United‘s men’s and women’s teams.
Remington’s strategy is based on its belief that Manchester United, as one of the world’s most engaged-with sports brands, will ensure that the campaign gets in front of as many eyes as possible across the world.

The grooming brand describes its activation strategy for its new football club alliance as ‘delivering high-impact marketing campaigns tooled for global brand growth by urging its consumers to share their stories’.
The campaign underpins Remington’s umbrella ‘The Story of You’ platform: which brings to life its mission to get to know its customers in a more personal way – recognising that everyone’s journeys, experiences, values and aspirations make up who they are as individuals.

Manchester United’s temporary manager and former legendary striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared alongside Remington executives at the official sponsorship announcement event.
Perhaps the club and the ‘Ole Effect’ (he remains unbeaten in the role thus far winning nine of his first 10 games), will further boost engagement on its social channels.
