Marshmello’s Twitter Tease & Reveal Of Pepsi’s UEFA Champions League Final Opening Ceremony Stars

American electronic music producer and DJ Christopher Comstock, better known professionally as Marshmello teased and revealed the artists who will join him on stage for the Pepsi Opening Ceremony of the 2021 UEA Champions League Final.

 

Through a UCL draw inspired video reveal, complete with the classic glass bowl and personalised UEFA balls, Marshmello drew out the names of the stars who will join him on 29 May – Selena Gomez and Khalid.

 

Rolling out as a strand of Pepsi’s global #FORTHELOVEOFIT brand platform and posted a week ahead of the Final, the platinum-certified artist/producer Marshmello used is personal Twitter feed to revealed that superstars Selena Gomez and Khalid will join him as guest performers for this year’s ‘UCL Opening Ceremony presented by Pepsi’.

 

Known for their smash hits ‘Wolves’ and ‘Silence’, the two artists will appear alongside Marshmello to front a virtual entertainment experience for football fans around the world.

 

To build buzz and excitement, the activation began with a Twitter tease phase on 18 May before the reveal on 23 May.

The 2021 match in Porto’s Estadio do Dragao Stadium on 29 May will be the fifth year for the ‘UEFA Champions League Final Opening Ceremony presented by Pepsi’: an event which will be broadcast in the minutes ahead of the world’s most watched annual sports event.

 

It didn’t take long for the tweet to go viral as the property owner, the clubs, football supporters and music fans shared the post socially and it generated almost 1m views in its first 24 hours.
