EA Sports Launch ‘Win As One’ Social Series With Phil Foden’s Ode To Stockport Spot

Late February saw EA Sports roll out the first of a three-part series online film series called ‘Win As One’ which is fronted by a trio of star players and explores the topics of community, family and friendship.

The inaugural spot in the series stars young Manchester City and England star Phil Foden who explores the importance of community through the lens of his home town Stockport.

The video, which was developed and produced by Ten Toes Media, sets out to demonstrate the role his local community played in supporting his rise into football’s elite. Indeed, it sees Foden outline how his friends and family in and around Stockport share in his success and suggests that when he wins, they win.

“Being part of the EA Sports family has offered me the opportunity to shine a light on my local community,” said Foden. “Without the support of the people of Stockport, I wouldn’t be in the position I am today, so it’s a proud moment for me. It was amazing to work with EA Sports and Ten Toes Media to bring my childhood story to life.”

EA Sports Athletes Relations Director Alex Wilde added: “Phil sets the world alight every time he steps on the pitch. It’s amazing to see the positive impact he has on his local community and it’s a story we are proud to tell with him.”

Ten Toes Media Creative Director Dean George commented: “Stardom often leads players to leave behind the places and people that shaped them, but Phil’s different. The local hero still views himself as a humble member of the Stockport community, and embodies the ‘Win As One’ spirit that EA Sports has looked to champion in their FIFA 21 marketing. In this film, we have looked to hero the power of togetherness, showcasing the importance of home to Phil and what Phil means to the people of Stockport.”
