Adidas continues its three-part ‘Fabric of Football’ documentary-series exploring the core of some of its highest profile partner clubs with a new long form film focusing on Manchester United called ‘Belief’.
Launched to leverage to the start of the 2019/20 Premier League, the documentary style video sees Adidas and Manchester United explore what makes the club so unique.
‘The Fabric of Football: Belief’ hears from those keeping England’s most successful club’s heart and soul beating: from icons and legends, to current stars, academy players, fans and staff.
Big names from past and present – from manager Gunnar Solskjær and stars Paul Pogba, Jessie Lingard and Scott McTominay, to academy player Lee O’Connor and club legends Nicky Butt – those who front the film paint of the unique journey of joining the club’s academy through to pulling on the first team jersey for the first time.
The spot was published across the kit supplier’s social channels on 9 August ahead of the team’s season opener against Chelse on 11 August.

In terms of on the field results, Manchester United have had a few less than stunning seasons since the departure of the club’s guru and godfather Alex Ferguson, but its global status, fan base and marketing success hasn’t slowed.
And this creative aims to show that the club’s spirit remains the same too.
With 169,822 views in its first 48 hours its hard to argue against it.
The wider Adidas ‘Fabric Of Football’ initiative began in mid June with Real Madrid (see case study)
and continued in July with Arsenal (see case study).
With both films also tying in to each club’s new season shirt launch campaigns.
