NBA Players Union Rolls Out #EverydayDad Fatherhood Initiative

The start of the summer and the opening of the NBA Finals sees the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Foundation invites fans to follow #EverydayDad – its new video series featuring NBA fathers and their children.

 

With Father’s Day only a few weeks away, the NBA players’ union released the first video in what will be a new series featuring NBA players and their kids.

 

The campaign is spearheaded by a new commercial featuring NBA players such as Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers.

 

 

The spot drives viewers to the initiative’s digital hub to see other players’ dad stories, to be inspired and to share their own fatherhood experiences.

 

Throughout the month players are using various channels – from Instagram to Twitter – to share photos with their kids or their dads using the hashtag “#everydaydad.”

 

 

 

 

‘My relationship with my father was very important to me,’ said Roger Mason, NBPA Deputy Executive Director for Player Relations in a statement.

 

‘It is really a privilege to be able to honor and remember him this way, share these memories with my children, and give fans a window into who I am as a son and parent.’
