Star Sports’ launched a promotional campaign for the Hero U-17 Women’s Championship looks to promote women’s football across India called #GroundsKnowNoGender.
The creative, developed by an in-house team, is led by a spot which tells the story of the journey of a child and her passion for football.
The commercial’s narrative arc opens with shots of the child dribbling until a boy stops the kid to reveal that the child girl. The boy says the playing area is for men, but the girl responds to the claim by dribbling past him and his team mates before scoring a goal.
The film closes with a voice over stating that the ground isn’t interested in whether a girl or a boy plays on it, it’s only interested in the game that’s played on it.
When you speak with your feet and show your love for the game, it will be heard because #GroundsKnowNoGender!
