Everton Football Club Stars Past And Present Call Self-Isolating Fans On Mother’s Day

Everton’s icons – including legend Duncan Ferguson and current forward Moise Kean – surprised unsuspecting self-isolating fans on Mother’s Day as part of the club’s ‘Blue Family campaign’.

Two Evertonian mothers and Toffees fans, both of whom are self-isolating throughout the coronavirus pandemic due to having underlying health conditions received calls from the club stars.

Assistant manager Duncan Ferguson called Everton fan Jan, who is at home in palliative care and whose son and daughter are unable to visit her on Mother’s Day due to the virus, called to check in on her and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day.

While Kean, who discussed his own close relationship with his mother when he first signed for Everton, spoke with season ticket holder Jayne O’Toole who is in remission from cancer and self-isolating to protect her immune system.

Comment:

From personal deliveries of season tickets and new season shirts, this outstanding and moving Mother’s Day initiative is an admirable move for the club and for its Blue Family project.
