Bookmkaker and new FC Barcelona partner launches a global campaign leveraging its partnership that offers eight so-called ‘super fans’ a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime Camp Nou experience.


Called ‘The Magic Of Barca’, this competition led campaign, which runs right across Europe and also in Brazil, tries to tap into the team’s unique style and culture by celebrating club moments of magic both on and off the pitch.


This bookie brand search for the ultimate Barca fans is fronted by a short film, debuting on 7 December, focusing on lifelong supporter Luis Jiménez.



‘Barcelona is more than just a club. It’s a way of life. There are people with religious beliefs or different ideologies and things that are special to them but for me, my temple and spiritual place is here, Camp Nou,’ trumpets FC Barcelona Super Fan Luis Jiménez.


‘Ever since my first trip to the Camp Nou I’ve been passionate. Every fan has a special Barça moment, for me it was when Barcelona made history winning the first treble in Spanish football history. This is what the magic of Barça means to me.’


The spot aims to encourage other fans to tell their very own Barca supporter story via Betfair’s #MagicOfBarca landing page at http://bit.ly/MOB_En


It is supported across multiple Betfair and Barca channels including Twitter,




and Facebook.


Entries are being accepted between 7 and 16 December.




Betfair, the online betting exchange, first signed up as a partner with FC Barcelona with a two-year sponsorship agreement in 2009.


the initial deal saw Betfair create sports betting content on FC Barcelona’s official website, while its branding also became visible across multiple Barca channels (such as perimeter boards at Camp Nou) and other rights available to Betfair included tickets, hospitality and training ground access.


But this campaign is the first in a series of Betfair and FC Barcelona joint marketing initiatives aimed at engaging and rewarding the club’s global fanbase.


This activation approach aims to build both anticipation and excitement (using Betfair’s ‘Ready?’ tagline and positioning) with a series of strategic partnerships and collaborations built around what the brand calls ‘blockbuster content’ and ‘memorable fan experiences’.
