Ever wanted to play Pac-Man on the street that you live?
Each year on April Fool’s Day Google does something fun with Google Maps and this year’s comic stunt sees the tech search behemoth launch a funky brand alliance with Pac-Man.
Today Google Maps has unveiled a ‘Pac Man View’ that actually allows users to play the iconic, old-school arcade game on the site’s street overlay.
It may not be an official ‘sponsorship’, but ‘band alliances’ are all the rage these days and this tie-up between Google and Namco is actually playable – so its something to while away a few minutes of your office time once you’ve trawled through all the rest of today’s April Fools.
Plus, ‘gamification’ is a hot tactic in the contemporary sponsorship activation world.
